In the animation of Doraemon, “chill-out stick” has the power to calm people down when placed right in front of their mouths.
I was commissioned to replicate this gadget: When the cross is in contact with human skin, the gadget will play an audio clip that says “Chill out, chill out~”

“chill-out stick” is designed in CAD software and 3D printed as parts in resin. All assembly and finishing is done by hand.
The red handle part consists of most of the electronic components. A microcontroller is programmed to take the signal from a capacitive touch sensor and trigger an audio file to play. A tiny speaker driver is placed in the middle of the cross, facing towards the sound holes.
