The finished Chill-out Stick held by its red handle

From cartoon to object

In Doraemon, the Chill-out Stick calms people down when held in front of their mouths. Made with Alina Liu, this version plays a recording supplied by the user when its touch sensor is activated.

A microcontroller, speaker driver and touch sensor fit inside the painted resin body.
